Future Braves Superstar??

Today, DH and I took WP to his first Atlanta Braves game.  HE LOVED IT!!!  From the minute we got out of the car, WP was taking it all it.  From the walk to the stadium, to lunch at the Chop House, to the ride in the elevator up to the Club Level where our seats were.  Finally, once we were in our seats, WP was clearly blown away by the people, the music, the cheering.  He was so excited.  "Talking" non-stop, clapping his hands, bouncing in our laps to the music.  Hopefully we will be able to make a few more games this season!!

In other news, DH and I are expecting our second child in September.  I imagine that all of my readers (I think we total 5 now!!!) know this already but just in case, I wanted to post a little something now that I have officially told my bosses.  We go tomorrow for our 20 week ultrasound and hope to find out what we are having.  I will be posting an update tomorrow after our appointment so keep an eye out for news.

Updates, Updates!!!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately, it's been just a little crazy around the Thomson household.  Since my last post, WP turned 11 months old, had his first plane trip, visited Mom-Mom and Grandpa Page, Uncle Steve, Aunt Jennette and cousins JD and RB, and took a trip to the Salisbury Zoo.  WP also got his first "boo-boo" while at day care...Mommy wasn't too happy when she saw WP's sweet face all purple and red.  Mommy and Daddy also spent a weekend doing some massive spring cleaning and helping celebrate Chris (WP's Godfather) and Lindsay's upcoming wedding!!!  See pictures below for a more detailed update:

Mommy Got a New Camera!!!

This week, I got a new camera (a Canon Rebel T1i to be exact)...I'm more than overjoyed by this fact as my little old Kodak digital was just not cutting it.  So today's post will be a ton of pictures taken with the new love in my life!!!

Spring Is Here!!!

Yesterday was a georgous day in Atlanta with temps in the mid 70s and the sun shining...it was WONDERFUL!!! DH and I took WP to the park for the first time and he loved it.  WP went on the swing and the slide and of course Mommy took pictures.

Slide time!!

That was cool!!

After our fun trip to the park, DH took WP to the car wash, which WP really enjoyed (sorry no pictures), while I ran some errands.  As part of our birthday present, Aunt Diana and her kids came and watched WP last night so DH and I could have a date night.  We went to Verde for dinner and then to the movies to see Bounty Hunter...a fun night for sure!!  Unfortunately, the spring like weather has been replaced by more rain and chilly temperatures but hopefully this will just be a minor interruption in the nice weather.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!!!

Today was WP's first St. Patrick's Day and he was very cute in his green t-shirt!! Too bad he was not able to show it off at day care today.  Yesterday, around lunchtime, I received a phone call from day care...my heart always skips a few beats when I see that number flash up on my cell phone.  They had called to inform me that WP was being sent home because he had a lovely fever of 101.9.  Since he had just finished a round of meds for a double ear infection last Thursday, off to Dr. W's office we went.  Poor, sweet boy has another ear infection and Dr. W has put him on another round of meds.  So WP had to stay home today because day care has a rule that the kids must stay out the day following being sent home.  Luckily, DH and I were able to split the day allowing both of us to take care of some work for our respective jobs.  Below are some photos from WP's St. Paddy's Day.

In other news, DH and I both celebrated birthdays last week (mine was Thursday and DH's was Saturday).  DH had a big birthday...he turned 30.  We celebrated by going up to South Carolina for the weekend.  Saturday afternoon we went to a baby shower for our friends Matt and Kate (Clemson friends of DH)...they are expecting a little boy next month.  It was fun catching up with them and other friends from Clemson.  Then we had a nice family dinner with Daddy Bill and Ms. Vikki and DH's grandparents (Mom-Betty and Papa).

WP's last day in his infant car seat...he's now too big for it!!

Wishing Daddy a Happy 30th Birthday!!

Trying some watermelon for the very first time...he liked it, but couldn't really figure out how to take a bite - he just wanted to squeeze it in his hands.

WP also likes banana slices, knows how to clap his hands and will do it in response to "If You're Happy And You Know It" and can wave good-bye (but does it at other random times too).

Happy St. Paddy's Day!!!
