Today was WP's first St. Patrick's Day and he was very cute in his green t-shirt!! Too bad he was not able to show it off at day care today. Yesterday, around lunchtime, I received a phone call from day care...my heart always skips a few beats when I see that number flash up on my cell phone. They had called to inform me that WP was being sent home because he had a lovely fever of 101.9. Since he had just finished a round of meds for a double ear infection last Thursday, off to Dr. W's office we went. Poor, sweet boy has another ear infection and Dr. W has put him on another round of meds. So WP had to stay home today because day care has a rule that the kids must stay out the day following being sent home. Luckily, DH and I were able to split the day allowing both of us to take care of some work for our respective jobs. Below are some photos from WP's St. Paddy's Day.
In other news, DH and I both celebrated birthdays last week (mine was Thursday and DH's was Saturday). DH had a big birthday...he turned 30. We celebrated by going up to South Carolina for the weekend. Saturday afternoon we went to a baby shower for our friends Matt and Kate (Clemson friends of DH)...they are expecting a little boy next month. It was fun catching up with them and other friends from Clemson. Then we had a nice family dinner with Daddy Bill and Ms. Vikki and DH's grandparents (Mom-Betty and Papa).
WP's last day in his infant car seat...he's now too big for it!!
Wishing Daddy a Happy 30th Birthday!!
Trying some watermelon for the very first time...he liked it, but couldn't really figure out how to take a bite - he just wanted to squeeze it in his hands.
WP also likes banana slices, knows how to clap his hands and will do it in response to "If You're Happy And You Know It" and can wave good-bye (but does it at other random times too).
Happy St. Paddy's Day!!!
