A Quick Review...

Living in Atlanta and not having the ability to see our families as much as we would like, I decided to create this blog to provide everyone with a glimpse into our life.  These first few posts will be a quick review of the past couple years...

DH (Darling Husband) and I met the spring of my first year of law school (his third year) at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.   For Thanksgiving 2005, we went to my parents' house in Salisbury, Maryland.  It was DH's first trip to Maryland.

After dating for 22 months and several Clemson games, DH asked me to marry him on Valentine's Day 2007.

Over the next sixteen months, DH and I planned our wedding, bought a house and brought home our sweet bulldog, Rocko.

Even though we lived in Atlanta, we decided to have our wedding in my hometown - Salisbury, Maryland.  In August 2007 we spent a week in Salisbury celebrating our engagement, having our engagement pictures taken and enjoying a typical Eastern Shore summer.

Finally after all of the planning and parties, on June 14, 2008, DH and I were married at my childhood church, Bethesda United Methodist Church.  We were blessed to be surrounded by our family and friends.  It was a magical and perfect weekend!!

DH surprised me with a trip to St. Lucia for our Honeymoon.  We stayed at Jade Mountain and had the most amazing time.

After a week in paradise, we returned to the real world - working full time and adjusting to life as newlyweds.  With all of the excitement (and sometimes stress filled days) behind us, it was nice to finally be able to relax and spend time with our friends.

Tomorrow, I'll do one more quick review to cover our first year of marriage (what a crazy but wonderful year it was)!!!
